There’s no need to do it all with younger kids. They’re probably totally happy with the local park but maybe YOU would like to see something else to break from the routine. Hopefully, the following suggestions (which were a real success with my own kids when they were smaller) will inspire you.

It was a typical Monday evening at our house -- the kids were hungry and cranky, my husband had just come home from work and was trying to tell me about his hectic day, my 5-year-old was crying because she was trying to do a word search and “no one EVER wants to help her,” my 2-year-old was hanging off my leg, and the chicken was way overdone. Sound familiar?!

Watching television has become a problem in my home. I don’t mind my kids parking themselves in front of the tv in the morning. But once the day begins, the tv goes off. Problem is I often find myself running out of ways to play.

Celebu-Mom Gwyneth Paltrow recently admitted in an interview that her older daughter Apple has been cross dressing her younger brother Moses.  This surprised me as I thought that those celebrity parents and their puzzling children’s’ names would produce somewhat unusual offspring. What a shock to discover that they are a normal family after all.
